There were a lot of great performances last week from the student-athletes; so, here are the fan’s picks! Stats are from games played February 6th – 12th.
SENIOR OF THE WEEK: EVAN ZARS, WESTERN ILLINOIS
The top rebounder in the league continued her stretch of great games last week. Against NDSU, she scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Against UND she scored 13 points and grabbed an incredible 18 rebounds; also adding three blocks! Evan currently leads the league in rebounds per game at 9.3 rpg. Last week she averaged 13 ppg, 12.5 rpg, and 1.5 bpg in two games.

JUNIOR OF THE WEEK: MYAH SELLAND, SOUTH DAKOTA STATE (@mypy44)
The Summit League Player of the Week is also our Junior of the Week, and deservedly so. Myah had a great week and continues to look like the offensive threat of years past. Against Denver, she scored 25 points on 10-13 from the field, including 3-3 from the 3-point line. Add in six rebounds, four assists, and two blocks to the stat line. Against Omaha, she nearly recorded a triple-double with 13 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. Last week she averaged 19 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 6 apg, and 2.5 bpg.

SOPHOMORE OF THE WEEK: JADA THORPE, WESTERN ILLINOIS (@thorpe_jada)
Jada Thorpe won the fans vote this week over an impressive nominated field. Against NDSU, Thorpe scored 10 points, grabbed three rebounds, and stole the ball five times. Against UND, she led the team with 19 points, two rebounds, and three more steals. She averaged 14.5 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.5 apg, and 4 spg last week.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: GRACE LARKINS, SOUTH DAKOTA (@larkins_grace)
Another impressive freshmen group this week, with the fan’s vote going to Grace Larkins. Against Omaha, Grace scored nine points, grabbed four rebounds, and stole the ball twice. Against Denver, Larkins went off for 15 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Grace averaged 11.5 ppg and 4.5 rpg last week.
