We are so excited to bring you this new podcast. We believe one of the really unique aspects of this podcast is the variety of perspectives we are bringing to you. Of our 3 hosts, we bring the coaching perspective, the player perspective, and the fan perspective. Let’s find out a little more about the hosts.
The Coach
Many of you may already know Greg Stemen as a color analyst with Midco Sports Net. Greg brings an extensive basketball coaching background to the Reaching The Summit Podcast. Most notably Greg was the head coach at Division 2 Southwest Minnesota State in Marshall, MN. While coaching the Mustangs from 2001 to 2009, Greg was named 2008-09 Northern Sun Coach of the Year and at the time of his departure had the most wins in school history. Greg was also Head Coach at North Dakota State College of Science and various other coaching stints. In addition to his color analyst work with Midco Sports Net, Greg works with Sanford Health.
The Player
Another member of our team that many Midco Sports Net viewers may know is Zack Dosch. Zack attended the University of Mary for undergrad where he played basketball, was a three-year starter, senior captain, and Academic All-American. He later went to grad school at Notre Dame and is now working for Midco Sports Net and BEK Communications as a color commentator and has been for the past 3 years. Zack is married with three kids and lives in Bismarck, ND.
The Fan
Todd Buckingham is the final member of the Reaching the Summit Podcast Team. Todd’s journey with Summit League Basketball started a few years ago when Todd’s youngest child was a toddler. Todd wanted to find something to share with his two boys. He decided to find a college basketball conference that was close enough to provide special opportunities to share with his boys. The Summit League was a perfect fit. Todd is a fan of the Summit League as a whole and not a specific team. He consumes every Summit League game he can even if it’s a replay on ESPN+. Outside of basketball fandom, Todd spent 3 years teaching physical education and health in the Minneapolis School District. Todd now works with crisis group homes working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental illness. Todd’s focus is on helping individuals find successful next steps in life by using the principles of positive behavior supports and person-centered thinking. Todd is married with three kids and lives in Minnesota.
We are so excited to bring this platform to the passionate fans of the Summit League.
