Our unofficial tagline is a podcast by Summit League Fans for Summit League Fans. While we strive to continually give you content and be a meeting place for Summit League Fans. We want to share the incredible resource for fans of the Summit. Each team in the Summit either has a message board or website/blog dedicated to them. The amount of high-quality information on these sites is critical for all Summit League fans. As a way to introduce each of these sites, I asked the message boards to give me two newcomers Summit League fans should be excited about. So I am going to share those players and put in links to the sites for fans to explore.
Denver
As far as I could find there is not a message board dedicated to Denver basketball. However, there is a fantastic site on Denver athletics including Denver basketball.

Kansas City
Our new Summit League members have a message board worth checking out. When asked who we should pay attention to, G Demarius Pitts a sophomore transfer D2 Virginia Union and F Jonathan Bolden a junior from the JUCO level were most often mentioned. Members mentioned Pitts and his ability to score size and defense, but might have saved their biggest praise for Bolden. kcroobluefan called Bolden “Bolden the Beast” and a “Dennis Rodman like rebounder”. Only time will tell if that is prophetic. Here is your link to the Kansas City message board

North Dakota
Head over to Sioux Sports to check out what people are saying about North Dakota. There was plenty of debate over the 2nd most impactful newcomer but G Caleb Nero was a mostly unanimous choice for the 1st. As Sioux 24/7 said,9io “Nero had a promising freshman season at Weber so I would expect him to build off that”. F Mitchell Sueker was the 2nd choice. In discussing Sueker, Hambone stated, “I’d go with Mitchell Sueker, a transfer from a D2 school. He was the Freshman of the Year for his conference, and he’s got some size that UND is severely lacking”.

North Dakota State
G Donald Carter was the first choice of Bisonville users. As T-Funk explained, “Donald Carter because of the important PG role he’s been brought in to fill. Need some leadership from him”. The 2nd was toss-up but I am going to mention G Desmond McKinney because his name being brought up is interesting. Bisonfan08 stated, “my second would be Desmond McKinney just simply because with the loss of not only Vinnie Shahid but also Cam Hunter the team was left without a PG before bringing these two in at the most important position on the floor”. So a lead guard-heavy edition for the Bison.

Omaha
There isn’t much of a fan message board for the Mavericks. That doesn’t mean however there is not a place for Summit League fans to find information on Omaha basketball. Go to Omaha Mavs Blog for your Omaha basketball information.

Oral Roberts
Fans on the Oral Roberts message board made it hard to narrow down to two players. Plenty of responses and thoughts. It seemed the two most common names given were Kareem Thompson and Nate Clover. Thompson is a sophomore JUCO transfer guard. The overall theme was Thompson’s versatility and defense. As Keenan Henderson said “Kareem Thompson is such a unique player because he can play so many roles on the court. He can pass, rebound, shoot, and guard a variety of spots 1-3. One of those kind of position-less players that we hear so much hype about”. Clover is a freshman big man and again defense was the theme for Clover. Dr. Cornelius said “ORU didn’t have a problem scoring last season, it was getting timely stops that were the problem. If Clover can play a part in anchoring the middle and improving the defense that will go a long way”.

South Dakota
A team full of newcomers, so plenty of names brought up on the message board. The names that seemed to come up most often were AJ Plitzuweit and Xavier Fuller. On Plitzuweit, captaincoyote said, “has the potential to add dynamic ball-handling and scoring ability to our roster”. Regarding Fuller, canislatrans noted he was ” regarded highly in JUCO circuits”.

South Dakota State
Not a lot of newcomers on the South Dakota State roster. So understand that there weren’t a lot of options for message board members. Luke Appel and William Mfum were mentioned as potential contributors.

Western Illinois
Western is almost all newcomers except for Anthony Jones. So who do fans feel are two critical newcomers. Leatherneckcountry started with Justin Brookens stating “the kid put up ridiculous numbers in the JUCO ranks and can shoot from anywhere and in the summit you need good shooters”. Leatherneckcountry also mentioned Will Carius stating “He has a ton of experience and he’s a 6’7 guy who can play both inside and out”.
