Another week, some more movement in the power rankings. Take a look at where the voters put your favorite team.
- South Dakota State: 119 pts (12) first-place votes. Last week (1). The Jacks remain in first place after a 2-1 week with wins over Nevada and George Mason during the Crossover Classic.
2. North Dakota State: 102 pts, (1) first-place vote. Last week (3). The Bison jump up to 2nd place after a 2 win week that included wins against Tarleton State and Idaho.
3. Western Illinois: 101 pts. Last week 2. The Leathernecks went 2-1 this week. Beating Northern Kentucky on the road and Miami (OH) at home. Leathernecks dropped a road game against Eastern Michigan.
4. Oral Roberts: 83 pts. Last week 5. Oral Roberts beat a non-division 1 opponent earlier in the week and then lost a close game at home against Oklahoma State. Voters were encouraged by the Golden Eagles performance against Oklahoma State.
5. Kansas City: 71 pts. Last week 4. The Roos dropped a spot from 4 to 5 after a 1-2 week. Kansas City began the week defeating Idaho State and then dropped games against Morehead State and Arkansas State.
6. South Dakota: 64 pts. Last week 6. The Coyotes stay put in the rankings this week. This is after a 2-1 week including 1-1 vs Division 1 opponents. South Dakota beat Tennessee State and lost to Nebraska
7. St. Thomas: 41 pts. Last week 8. The Tommies continue a slow climb up the power rankings. St. Thomas went 1-1 this week, beating SIU Edwardsville and losing on the road to Seattle.
8. North Dakota: 37 pts. Last week 7. The Fighting Hawks swap spots with St. Thomas this week. This drop happened after North Dakota went 0-3 this week. Losses were to Tennessee Martin, FIU, and Kansas State
9. Denver: 29 pts. Last week 9. The Pioneers stayed put this week. There were some encouraging signs however as Denver beat Houston Baptist and lost close games to Air Force and Utah Valley on the road.
10. Omaha: 13 pts. Last week 10. Omaha remains at the bottom this week. Not surprising as Omaha played an incredibly challenging schedule this week with losses to Texas Tech, and Purdue.
