Senior of the week
Guard/Forward Marvin Nesbitt, Kansas City
Well, Kansas City players are starting to take over this award. While this marks Nesbitt’s first time winning senior of the week, it’s the 3rd time in 4 weeks that a Kansas City player has won. Nesbitt is picking the perfect time to play his best basketball as the Summit League Tournament approaches. Last week Nesbitt averaged 19.5 points, 9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists as he won a heated battle with Luka Barisic.

Freshmen of the Week
Guard Paul Bruns North Dakota
We have a unanimous choice from the judges in the freshmen class this week and for good reason. What might make what Bruns is doing even more impressive is he is the focal point of every opponent’s defensive gameplan every week and he still puts up huge performances. Last week Bruns averaged a double-double in going for 21 points, 11.5 rebounds, and .5 assists.

Defensive Player of the Week
Forward Elijah Lufile Oral Roberts
Lufile only played in one game this week but the number he put up was impressive enough to get him defensive player of that week. In that game, Lufile had 3 blocks and a steal. Yet it may have been the way he kept possessions alive on the offensive glass that may have been most impressive. Lufile had 8 offensive rebounds which means an incredible 17 offensive rebounds over his last two games.
