The Jackrabbits made certain no possibility of an early-exit from the 2022 Summit League Basketball Tournament as they beat Denver 86-59. The Jacks led the Pios 25-11 after 10 minutes of play, with Uju Ezeudu leading Denver in scoring at 7 points.
Ezeudu finished with 25 points and 5 rebounds for the Pios, while Indeya Sanders put up 10 points. The Jacks had three double-digit scorers in Myah Selland (26), Paiton Burckhard (18) and Tori Nelson (15).
SDSU also outrebounded Denver 44-30, with 31 of those being defensive rebounds. Denver gained some rhythm in the fourth quarter as they went back-and-forth with SDSU, but the Jacks finished the job.
SDSU will take the court again Monday afternoon as they face the winner of Sunday’s Oral Roberts/North Dakota matchup.
