Senior of the Week

Guard Issac McBride Oral Roberts

McBride started the season a little bit slowly but that did not continue in the second week. McBride found his scoring rhythm in the second week of the season. Playing basically every minute of every game, McBride kept his efficiency throughout the week. He shot 50% from behind the arc over the week. McBride averaged 27 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5 assists for the week and was a consensus pick for Senior of the Week.

Sophomore of the Week

Guard Kendall Blue St. Thomas

The sophomore of the week award came down to one vote. Blue was able to escape with the award this week. One of the reasons voters may have leaned toward Blue was his incredibly efficient shooting. Freshmen of the Week

Guard DeAndre Craig Denver

Denver has a history of finding success with freshmen early in the year, and Craig has the makings of another freshmen success story in Denver. Probably the early stand out freshman in the league. Craig put it together this week. This week Craig averaged 11.3 points, 4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. On the defensive side, Craig added 2.7 steals.

Defensive Player of the Week

Forward Deshang Weaver Oral Roberts

Weaver won the award in another very close vote. It also makes back-to-back weeks winning the award for Weaver. For the week Weaver averaged 3 blocks per game, he added 2 offensive rebounds, and .5 steals per game.
