Senior of the Week
Guard Tommy Bruner
Denver
For the third time this season Tommy Bruner is named the Reaching the Summit Senior of the Week, and it is well deserved. Bruner continues an incredible campaign here in week 7. Bruner finished the week averaging 28.5 points per game and scoring isn’t the only way he contributed this week. Bruner also dished out 6.5 assists per game this week.

What a week for Frankie Fidler. Omaha opened with a split in conference play and Fidler added his second Junior of the Week award. This week Fidler averaged 29.5 points per game and added 3.5 rebounds per game. Fidler led Omaha in their big bounce-back win on the road against South Dakota.

Sophomore of the Week
Forward William Kyle
South Dakota State
All this debate over whether William Kyle should be starting or coming off the bench. Whether Kyle starts the game or not, I can tell you, last week he finished it. South Dakota State only played one game but Kyle was a huge contributor in the Jackrabbits win. Kyle finished the game with 20 points and 5 rebounds in the win over North Dakota.

Freshmen of the Week
Forward Noah Fedderson
North Dakota State
Fedderson continues to get more and more playing time as the season progresses. So even though this is Fedderson’s first Freshmen of the Week award, it’s likely not to be his last. Fedderson scored 13 points and chipped in 3 rebounds for the Bison in their Summit League opener.

Defensive Player of the Week
Guard Kareem Thompson
Oral Roberts
Thompson is consistently recognized as one of the better defensive players in the Summit League but it is sometimes hard for him to win weekly awards as some of what he does doesn’t get into the box score. This week Thompson led the defensive charge in the league. Thompson averaged 2.5 blocks per game, 1 steal per game, and chipped in 2.5 rebounds on the offensive end.
