Senior of the Week
Guard Tyree Ihenacho
North Dakota
North Dakota had a big home sweep this week and Ihenacho was a huge reason why. After having to sit about half the season Ihenacho was part of the ruling that all transfers could play immediately this season. For the first time this season, Ihenacho claims senior of the week. For the week, Ihenacho averaged 18 points, an impressive 8.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists.

Freshmen of the Week
Forward Jevon Hill
South Dakota
It has been a quiet year for Hill until it wasn’t. Coyote fans are hoping we have witnessed the beginning of a breakout. Hill led the way as the Coyotes got a home win against St. Thomas, a team considered by most to be a top-of-the-league team. For the week Hill averaged 13.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and an assist per game and was the unanimous pick this week.

Defensive Player of the Week
Forward William Kyle III
South Dakota State
I don’t know about all of you but the fact this was the first time Kyle won defensive player of the week this year was a surprise to me. Some of this is probably due to the amount of highlight defensive plays Kyle has had this season. Deservedly Kyle won the award this week. For the week Kyle averaged 3 blocks per game, chipped in 2.5 offensive rebounds, and had a steal.
