DeAndre Craig becomes the second-time winner of the Sophomore of the Week award this week. After missing some time with an injury Craig has returned to the Denver lineup and the difference for the Pioneers on the court is obvious. While it hasn’t always shown up in wins, the Pioneers fight night in and night out and Craig is the leader of that energy. For the week, Craig averaged 18.5 points, 5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists.

Another race with no clear favorite this season is the Defensive Player of the Year award. However, if you have been watching Chase Forte this season you know he is considered one of the favorites for the award. Forte wins his second Player of the Week award this week. In the Coyotes’ big home upset over previously unbeaten Omaha Forte had 4 steals and for the season is averaging almost 2 steals per game.
