Below are the Reaching the Summit Women’s Basketball Players of the Week for games played 11/21 – 11/27. Each week our voters select a senior, junior, sophomore, and freshman student-athlete that they thought deserved this weekly award. Enjoy!
SENIOR OF THE WEEK: Anna Jackson, Denver (@annaj25_)
Jackson finished the week averaging 21.5 ppg and 7 rpg. The Flower Mound, TX native went OFF on Friday against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. She netted 36 points on 12-19 shooting, including 10-17 from behind-the-arc. Add in six rebounds and that makes for a pretty good game. Against Wyoming, Jackson scored seven points and grabbed eight rebounds.

JUNIOR OF THE WEEK: Uju Ezeudu, Denver (@ShineUju)
For the second time this year, the voters have voted Uju as the Junior of the week. Probably because Ezeudu kept doing what Ezeudu does, and that’s play efficient basketball. The Junior from Reynoldsburg, Ohio averaged 10.5 ppg, 7.5 rpg and 2 bpg this week. In their loss to Wyoming, Uju finished in double figures for the fifth time this season and the 39th time in her career.

SOPHOMORE OF THE WEEK: Jada Thorpe, Western Illinois (@thorpe_jada)
Our first back-to-back winner belongs to Western Illinois’ Jada Thorpe! The Chicago native averaged 13.5 ppg, 6 rpg and 3 apg in her two games last week. Against Missouri Baptist, she went off for a team-high 21 points on 5-9 shooting, including 3-6 from deep. She also grabbed six rebounds and dished out five assists. Against Tarleton State, Thorpe finished with six points and six rebounds.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: Tirzah Moore, Oral Roberts (@moore_tirzah)
Our freshman of the week honor goes to Oklahoma City native, Tirzah Moore! She averaged 14.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg, and 2 bpg this past week. On November 21st, Moore scored nine points and grabbed five rebounds. On Saturday, she led the team in scoring, dropping 20 points on 7-10 shooting, plus 6-6 from the FT line. She also grabbed another six rebounds. All of that in only 23 minutes of play.
