Below are the Reaching the Summit Women’s Basketball Players of the Week for games played 11/28 – 12/04. Each week our fans select a senior, junior, sophomore, and freshman student-athlete that they thought deserved this weekly award. Enjoy!
SENIOR OF THE WEEK: Danni Nichols, Western Illinois (@Danni_Nichols14)
This week’s Summit League Player of the Week entered the 1,000 point club against Incarnate Word, the 20th Leatherneck to achieve that milestone. In a win over Northern Illinois, she tied her career high of 26 points while playing a full 40 minutes. That career-high didn’t last long. The next day against Southern Illinois, she shot an amazing 78 percent from the field as she earned a new career-high of 27 points in a 85-80 victory. Nichols averaged 22.3 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 4 apg, and 2.3 spg last week.

JUNIOR OF THE WEEK: Ryan Cobbins, North Dakota State (@rycobbins)
Our Junior of the Week had herself a good couple of games. Against Kansas State, Cobbins went for 11 points and seven rebounds; it was her sixth straight game scoring double-digits. She extended that streak to seven games on Saturday against Bradley by scoring a career-high 24 points on 8-for-15 shooting, including 6-for-7 from the free throw line. Ryan also grabbed a season-best 10 rebounds to earn her first double-double of the season. She averaged 17.5 ppg and 8.5 rpg last week.

SOPHOMORE OF THE WEEK: Katie Scott, Oral Roberts (@eitakscott)
Katie Scott earned the fan’s pick for sophomore of the week! Katie went nearly perfect from the free throw line this week, going 16-for-17 from the charity stripe. Against Little Rock, Scott scored 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 18 minutes of play to guide the Golden Eagles to an 18 point victory. In a loss against Wichita State, Scott had a team-high 17 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks. She finished the week averaging 15 ppg and 6.5 rpg.

FRESHMEN OF THE WEEK: Tirzah Moore, Oral Roberts (@moore_tirzah)
Another great week from Oral Roberts freshman Tirzah Moore gets her back-to-back freshmen of the week honors from the fans. Against Little Rock, she scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds. She followed that performance with a 13 point, five rebound game in 23 minutes of play. She averaged 14 ppg and 6.5 rpg this week.
