SENIOR OF THE WEEK: Hannah Sjerven, USD (@Hannah Sjerven)
The super-senior from Rogers, MN finally gets the fan vote as our Player of the Week. Typically, the fans will give the nod to a player that played more than one game during the week, but the well-rounded individual effort from Hannah gave her a majority of the votes. In the best defensive effort of the season, Sjerven helped the Coyotes hold SDSU players below double-digit figures in a game for the first time since Jan 2nd, 2014 (yes that’s already eight years ago) with four blocked shots and three steals. Hannah also secured her fourth double-double of the season, scoring 14 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Let’s throw in four assists to make it a full stat line. She did all of this in 22 minutes of play.
