Michael Watson attempted a league-record 22 3-pointers in Kansas City’s 91-86 double-overtime victory over Oral Roberts on Feb. 22, 2003. Coming into the 2003 contest, Watson’s squad had lost three straight to the Golden Eagles but the Roos outscored ORU 27-22 in two overtimes to secure the win. Watson’s 54 points and 10 3-pointers against ORU helped him earn Player of the Week, which he received three times that season. Watson had his jersey retired almost six years later.
